Therapy FAQs
Questions, answered.
A few of the things people often want to know before we begin. If your question isn't here, just reach out and ask.
Getting started
Where do we begin?
To begin, simply schedule a free 15-minute consultation. We'll get to know each other and talk through your goals, your background, and what you're looking for. There's no pressure, it's a chance to see if we're the right fit.
How long do sessions last?
Sessions typically last 50 minutes. If a different length works better for your needs and goals, we can talk about that together.
How often will we meet?
Many people start with weekly sessions and adjust over time. We'll decide on a rhythm that fits your needs, your goals, and your life, rather than a fixed schedule.
Who I work with
Who do you work with?
I work with adults in New York, New Jersey, and Texas, with telehealth in Florida who are navigating things like anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, and life transitions, often while holding a lot together on the outside. If that sounds like you, you're welcome here.
What kinds of therapy do you use?
I draw on several evidence-based approaches and tailor them to you, including trauma-informed therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Care is never one size fits all.
Are sessions in person or online?
Sessions are held online by secure video, so you can meet with me from wherever you are across New York, New Jersey, and Texas, with telehealth in Florida. It keeps your care flexible and easy to fit into your life.
Payment & logistics
What are your rates?
Sessions are $200 for both the initial evaluation and follow-up sessions (50–60 minutes). In certain circumstances a sliding scale fee may be available, so please feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss it.
Do you take insurance?
I'm a private pay practice and don't bill insurance directly. This keeps your care flexible and guided by your needs rather than an insurer's requirements. If you'd like, I can talk with you about what to ask your insurance about out-of-network reimbursement.
What's your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for as much notice as you can give. We'll go over the specific policy together when we begin, so everything is clear from the start.
Still have questions?
Let's talk it through.
Schedule a free 15-minute consultation and we'll answer anything else together, with no pressure.
