1. How do I get started with therapy?
To get started, book a free 15-minute consultation through our website or contact us directly.
During the session, we'll discuss your goals, address any concerns, and determine if we’re a good fit.

2. What can I expect during my first session?
During your first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your current concerns, mental health history, and treatment goals. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions about the therapy process. This session is about building rapport and setting a foundation for your work together.

3. Do I need to use a video camera?
Yes, video calls are strongly encouraged for the most interactive experience. Phone sessions are only available if we’re facing technical issues.

4. What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a fee. If you're unable to attend due to illness or an emergency, contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options.

5. How long are therapy sessions?
Sessions typically last 50 minutes. However, we can discuss the length that works best for you, depending on your needs and goals.

6. Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance on this platform, only cash pay. I can provide superbills for clients using their out-of-network benefits.

7. How do I pay for therapy?
Your payment method is stored securely in your SimplePractice client portal, with industry-standard encryption and strict security compliance. Transactions are processed through trusted third-party processors like Stripe, ensuring top-tier security.

8. Will you provide a superbill for my out-of-network billing for my insurance company?
Yes, I can provide you with a superbill for your out-of-network billing and insurance reimbursement.

9. Is therapy confidential?
Confidentiality is a core value of our practice. Sessions are HIPAA-compliant, ensuring strict privacy. Exceptions occur only if there’s a risk of harm or if required by law.

10. What if I don’t feel comfortable with my therapist?
It's important that you feel comfortable and supported in therapy. If, for any reason, you feel that we’re not the right fit, please share and referrals will be provided to help you find someone who will better meet your needs.

11. Do you offer therapy for couples or families?
Unfortunately, I do not offer therapy for couples or families at this time.

12. How do I ensure my online therapy experience is secure?
We use a HIPAA-compliant video platform called SimplePractice to ensure that your sessions are private and secure.

13. What states are you currently licensed in?
Currently, I am independently licensed as an LCSW in New Jersey with additional licenses pending in New York, Texas and Georgia.
